Missoula Developmental Service Corporation (MDSC) is seeking an energetic, collaborative, and team-oriented Program Manager for a medical group home. MDSC is a nonprofit organization in Missoula providing 24/7 services to adults with developmental disabilities in a day center and residential group homes. We are dedicated to providing a fulfilling, safe and positive work environment with a goal to support and enrich the lives of all those we serve. The ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and be team oriented to oversees programs, services and staff for a residential medical group home.


The Program Manager (PM), services and staff for six to eight clients at the residential medical group home. The PM fosters a team approach between staff to ensure that clients live and staff work in a positive and nurturing environment while treating clients with dignity and respect to facilitate all activities of daily living in a community environment. Responsibilities include direct supervision of nursing staff, Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and Residential Assistant Manager (RAM). The PM also ensures household supplies and living arrangements are adequately maintained along with budget and fiscal responsibilities.


  • In collaboration with the Medical Services Administrator, directs and maintains the quality of medical services for clients at the medical group home.
  • Develops and implements the Personal Support Plans (PSPs) for each client as well as train and monitor DSPs to ensure PSP goals and objectives are met.
  • Monitor and follow-up on all incident reports.
  • Personnel management and leadership of staff to include hiring, training, performance management, scheduling and communication.
  • Responsible for oversight of bank reconciliation of the household budget
  • Meet all monthly and quarterly reporting requirements.
  • Ensure all licensing requirements are met for the group home


This position directly supervises the nursing staff, Direct Support Professionals and a Residential Assistant Manager. This position is responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of employees as outlined by the organization's policies and applicable laws.


  • Bachelor's degree from accredited four-year college or university or four years of related experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • RN/LPN license preferred but not required.
  • At least two years of experience in a medical setting.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience.
  • At least one year of experience working with developmentally disabled persons required.
