$300 Sign-On Bonus and up to $14.85 per hour

MDSC is seeking dedicated caregivers to join our team in supporting adults with severe developmental disabilities in our residential group homes and day services center as a Direct Support Professional. The DSP's role is to provide excellent care through positive, confident, and reassuring interactions with clients to assist them in living as independently as possible.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A DSP

  • Compassionate, respectful, and reliable
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to pass background check requirements
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, including electronically
  • Pre-employment drug testing
  • Related caregiving experience (preferred)

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Personal hygiene cares
  • Housekeeping duties
  • Electronic documentation
  • Medication administration
  • Meal preparation, cooking and feeding
  • Participates in community outings
  • Monitor the health and safety of clients while they sleep
  • Assist with programs (educational, skills, crafts)
  • De-escalate physical & mental behaviors using Mandt training
  • Follow COVID-19 protocols

SHIFT

  • Day shifts @ 7:00am-3:00pm
  • Evening shifts @ 3:00-11:00pm (weekends required)
  • Overnight-awake shifts @ 11:00pm-7:00am (weekends generally required)

JOB TYPES

  • Full-time: 30-40 scheduled hours per week
  • Part-time: Under 30 hours scheduled per week
  • Relief: on-call, flexible schedule
